Accent and Glaze Finishes
Glaze and accent glaze finishes add depth, character, and dimension to cabinetry. Glaze finishes are hand-applied over painted or stained surfaces to highlight profiles and soften color variation. It creates soft shadowing along door profiles and edges, enhancing the depth and character of the design. By layering a subtle tint over the base stain, it slightly deepens the overall tone and gives the surface a gently brushed, hand-finished look. An accent glaze finish is more targeted—applied with a smaller brush only to specific areas like profiles, corners, and edges for a subtle, artisan effect. Both can enhance detail and craftsmanship, offering a refined, custom look for certain aesthetics.
